Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club

The Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Clubhouse, opened in 1903. St John’s Church (now demolished), where the Britten family worshipped, visible behind.

On Friday evening, Zeb Soanes gave a talk about the Britten as a Boy project to members of the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club and their guests. Britten’s father had been a member of the club and enjoyed spending Sundays at the clubhouse whilst young Benjamin explored the harbour with his mother and siblings.
